NATIONAL PROJECT
"MORE"
2018-2019

For this second year, the theme MORE, we will think about Isaiah 61:3b which says: “to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”

NEW NATIONAL PROJECT
2018-2019

The 5 initiatives will be:
1. SILVER LINING ORPHANAGE – ASIA/PACIFIC
Orphans find safety and security in a children’s home that provides a loving, parented family structure. Local seminary students help lead this ministry.

2. WOMEN’S MINISTRY CENTER – MEXICO
Hurting and overlooked women receive spiritual guidance, legal and financial counsel, and 48-hour crisis-care intervention at the Circle of Care Women’s Ministry Center, a ministry of Breath of Life Alliance Church in Guadalajara.

3. SANTIDOUGOU WIDOWS CENTER – BURKINA FASO
Young, deaf women receive sewing machines and training, and widows are given access to soap-making equipment and a moringa press at the Santidougou Widows Center. Daughters of widows receive one-year scholarships to complete high school.

4. CAMA ORPHAN PROJECT – VIETNAM
Single mothers are resourced to begin small, income-generating activities. Orphans receive tuition, school supplies, and monthly rice portions.

5. CRISIS PREGNANCY SHELTER – NORTH & CENTRAL ASIA
At risk migrant moms in crisis situations will receive temporary residence, practical support, counseling, and mentoring in life and mothering skills through the ministry of the shelter.

DISTRICT PROJECTS

Adoption Program
Every child of an Alliance International Worker is "adopted" by an Alliance Church. Our district participates in this ministry by caring for the children of our District International Workers with cards, gifts, and prayer.

Outfit Assistance
Alliance International Workers are given outfit assistance by their home districts in the form of a money gift designed to help provide them with household and personal items for each term of service.

Work Guide Projects
The details for the collection and processing of these projects are set forth in the Annual Work Guide that is available on this site.

District Ministry Closet (Formerly Linen Closet)
This closet, located at District office, provides our International Workers with free supplies to take overseas. Currently needed are twin size mattress pads, queen size mattress pads, twin sheet sets (solid colors, preferably dark), bath towels, hand towels, and wash cloths in dark colors. If you wish to donate, you can either send your items with someone coming to the District office or bring to to our One Day Conference.

Berlin Guest Home
We are in need of bedding: 2 or 3 queen-sized mattresses, 4-6 single sheet sets and pillows, 6 duvets and the covers. Pray that this guest house will remain a blessing in the lives of both the refugees and other visitors. Due to shipping expenses, it is more economical to send funds to purchase these readily available goods in Germany than to mail these items to them. Feel free to mail any check or cash donations to the District Office. Make check payable to: Midwest District Women's Ministries and note on meo line: Berlin Guest House Fund. Mail to: Mrs. Kathie Rich, Midwest District C&MA, 260 Glen Ellyn Road, Bloomingdale, IL 60108. To see more about the Berlin Guest Home, click here.
